White Horse Beach Tradition

3rd of July on White Horse Beach

One of the best ways to celebrate America’s birthday is to start a day early on White Horse Beach. The 3rd of July has become the day for beach fires (permit required) and “unofficial” fireworks. What a fun and exciting way to relax and enjoy the celebration.

A cool story (may not be exactly accurate) to share is that some of the first Americans lit Bonfires on White Horse Beach in the year 1777 to celebrate their independence.

Fun at the beaches

There are many pond beaches and large ocean beaches in Plymouth. The town of Plymouth is working on the maintenance of all it’s recreational parks and beaches during this preseason to get ready for another great beach summer.
