The beach has a decent size parking lot that usually accommodates the Plymouth residents and vacationers. It also includes many handicap parking spots that are very close to all the short ramps that enable access for all to the beach. This beach parking lot is one of the most convenient lots around making it incredibly desirable for many. It is very close to the beach which makes it easy for large families to carry all their things onto the beach. Highly patrolled, this beach is one of the safest beaches in the area. For more details on general beach safety, parking attendants, and life guards please visit the Beach Safety, Parking Attendants, and Life Guards section of my website.
In the height of the summer (end of June to the middle of August) especially on the weekends and holidays the parking lot can fill up fast and the parking attendants will close the parking lot, so I recommend getting there early if you plan to be there then. Take heart, there is alternative parking about half a mile away but you will have to carry your beach stuff with you. Turn back towards the center of town and take your first left into the Plymouth Plantation entrance and all the way to the parking lot. One sweet thing about this is that the parking is free. The other plan to this is to wait until later in the afternoon (about 3:30 to 4:30) and then there should be plenty of parking. If you wait until 4:30 the parking in the beach parking lot is free because the attendants leave at that time. Arriving anytime between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM will cost you a parking fee to use the beach parking lot if you are not a Plymouth resident with a beach sticker. The daily fee was $15 for the summer of 2016. Parking is free and available the day after Labor Day until the day before Memorial Day. One side note: the first three weeks of June plus or minus a couple of days you will be able to park for free during week days (not weekends). The town only staffs the beaches 7 days a week when public schools go on summer break.
